Indy Eleven

From the beginning, Indy Eleven has looked to create a team representative of Indiana that forms strong emotional connections with its fans. Those connections – embodied in the team’s symbolic name, crest, and colors – are made with Indiana’s youth and adult soccer community and the active young adult urban and ethnic populations.

The unique Indy Eleven identity reflects the club’s fans’ desire to have a name tied both to the culture of “the beautiful game” and the State of Indiana, with the name referencing the 11 players giving their all on the field of play in addition to paying homage to the 11th Regiment of Indiana Volunteers, which fought for the Union Army during the Civil War.

Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts have a long history of stunning comebacks and heartbreaking defeats. Although our roster past and present features some of the greatest players to ever step foot on the gridiron, there’s no denying that the MVPs of every season are the fans. They’ve even been inducted into the prestigious Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor!

Chick-Fil-A

Serving a breaded, boneless chicken breast between two buttered buns is a seemingly simple idea--but it was a novelty for its time. Truett Cathy experimented for years at the Dwarf Grill in Hapeville, GA when in 1964, he finally arrived at the perfect recipe. On that day, the Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich was born. That capital A is on purpose – it means "grade A top quality". Truett's Guests told him, "We like it, don't change it again." And we haven't.

McAlisters Deli

Nearly three decades ago, a dentist from Oxford, Mississippi had a vision to turn an abandoned movie-set diner into a small, yet charming, neighborhood restaurant & gathering place.

That vision became a reality when the first McAlister’s opened its doors in 1989. The menu then would still feel familiar today packed with the craveable sandwiches, spuds and salads we’re known for – and of course our famous McAlister’s Sweet Tea.

Not only has our menu remained true to its roots, so have our values. Today, with more than 500 restaurants in 28 states, we’re still dedicated to serving great food with genuine hospitality. We invite you to come for the food and stay for the experience. Bring your family, meet your neighbors, celebrate that big win with your teammates or make new friends that share the same love for sweet tea and sandwiches as you – we mean it when we say that our table is your table.

Indiana Pacers

When professional basketball came to Indianapolis in 1967, one of the key decisions would be what to call the new American Basketball Association franchise.

According to Indianapolis attorney Richard D. Tinkham, the nickname “Pacers” was decided on through a collective decision of the original investors. Tinkham, one of those investors, recalled that the nickname was a combination of the state’s rich history with the harness racing pacers (investor Chuck Barnes was a horse racing enthusiast) and the pace car used for the running of the Indianapolis 500.

Tinkham said the “Pacers” decision was an easy one, but the real debate was whether the team should be called the Indiana Pacers or the Indianapolis Pacers. Since one of the original ideas for the team was to have it playing throughout the state with its base in Indianapolis, the official team name became the Indiana Pacers.
